When I was at school in Bangkok, my friend there had a brother who came to Huntley. That’s how I found out about it.
I started when I was 11. In my first week, I was so happy and excited. I was having heaps of fun meeting new friends. Then in my second week I got a bit homesick but from there it just got better and better. I message my Mum and Dad when I need to and I get to go home every school holidays. They have been to visit too. When I fly home, I often fly by myself. Or sometimes I get to go with Uss, he’s from Thailand too. Huntley has taught me how to be really independent.
I love that I get to spend lots of time with my friends and I get to do so many cool things here. I play rugby, tennis, I do ballet and I learn the piano. I kind of like drama too and am practising for our Year 7 school play at the moment.
If I went to International school in Thailand, I’d still speak Thai at home but here it’s better because I have to speak English all the time. I’m always learning and the teachers and other students help me lots in class with my spelling and writing.
After Huntley, I am going to go to secondary school here. I love New Zealand. It’s a great country.
